Dialogue on Agriculture and Food Security

Food security has emerged as a key global challenge and is a priority of Swiss foreign policy and international cooperation. Switzerland plays an important role either as multilateral donor or as a partner in bilateral development programs. Swiss players from the private sector, the scientific community and civil society contribute to the international debate, and are recognised partners of various international programs and initiatives. With this new joint initiative, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) establish a platform for dialogue on agriculture and food security. The events provide input and timely information on key international topics relating to agriculture and food security, and serve as a platform for exchanging and sharing experiences and devise specific Swiss contributions to food security.
The platform will organise events on relevant issues at regular intervals, and is open to active participation by and contributions from Swiss actors and their international partners.
